- Our cultures of moss are propagated from natural sources around Devons and contain a mixture of different common UK species such as Sphagnum, Feather, Swan's Neck Thyme Moss and Wood Bristle.
- Moss is vital in a lot of different enclosure types and serves many different roles. Most importantly, moss is used as a natural substrate to help retain moisture to create a more humid habitat.
- The moss can also be placed decoratively and encouraged to grow on hard surfaces to help create the perfect natural finish to your enclosure.
- Mosses are also important for young and small invertebrates, such as isopods and millipedes, as an area of moisture, hiding place and food source in many bioactive enclosures.
- Mosses do best in moist conditions so be careful not to place the moss directly below a lamp or let the enclosure get too dry.
