Philodendron Brasil - Climber/Vine Pot
Common name: Philodendron scandens Brasil
Scientific name: Philodendron hederaceum /scandens
Description: epiphytic climbing plant with rich, green, heart-shaped leaves and smooth stems with aerial roots growing at each node. The ‘Brasil’ variety has lime green to yellow variegation on each leaf which differentiates between leaves. These are naturally found climbing up trees in tropical forests where they anchor themselves to the tree’s surface, and some can grow up to 6m high with optimal conditions! This plant does well in bright, indirect light and prefers a humid environment, like rainforest conditions, and will grow best when given something to climb up but will also be happy left to trail. These look great in taller enclosures such as arboreal tarantula and mantid set-ups due to their climbing nature, but they will also offer great ground-coverage for more terrestrial set-ups.Grown in 5cm pots
